Alert for Hurricane Conditions in Buenos Aires

According to the latest report from the National Meteorological Service (SMN), a slight increase in temperature is expected during the day, potentially reaching 25 degrees. A large part of the province is under yellow alert due to the arrival of storms, although locations like Florentino Ameghino, General Pinto, and others in the interior will not be as affected, experiencing only lighter precipitation in the early morning and morning.

Authorities have issued recommendations for the population in areas under alert, as more storms are forecasted during the early morning and on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Nationwide, the SMN has announced a yellow alert for storms for the south of Entre Ríos, including towns like Gualeguay and Gualeguaychú.

A day without significant weather phenomena is expected in the coming hours, but the alert for rain remains in the southwest of Río Negro and northwest of Chubut on Tuesday. Citizens should stay attentive to the recommendations and updates from the SMN regarding the imminent arrival of unstable storms.

The weather forecast indicates a drastic change in climatic conditions, with heavy rains and strong winds in the Buenos Aires territory. The morning will start with a partly cloudy sky and temperatures of up to 17 degrees. It is advisable to keep an emergency backpack with important documents, flashlight, radio, and phone ready.

Throughout the week, temperatures will remain in a spring range with a gradual decrease, not exceeding 20 degrees. Storms are expected mainly between the afternoon and evening, possibly advancing in the south of the province with possible rains during the early morning. Intense rainfall, electric activity, wind gusts, and hail risk in some areas are anticipated.

The SMN advises caution for homes near bodies of water due to the risk of lightning, recommending to avoid taking out the trash and removing objects that may obstruct drainage. Outdoor activities should be avoided, and as much as possible, not to roam in public areas to ensure everyone's safety amid challenging weather conditions.
